Durham Region Health Department sexual health clinics are committed to providing inclusive, non-judgmental, safe and confidential services. No matter what our gender identity, gender expression or sexual orientation is, we should feel supported and welcomed at the clinics.

Inclusive language

Language that acknowledges diversity, conveys respect to all people, is sensitive to differences, and promotes equal opportunities.

2SLGBTQI+ allyship

An ally is someone who educates themselves, supports, speaks out and advocates for 2SLGBTQI+ communities.

Coming out

Coming out is the process of recognizing, accepting and sharing with others your authentic self.

Vaccines for MSM

Men who have sex with men, may be eligible to receive free vaccines. Speak with a nurse to determine your eligibility.

PrEP

PrEP: Medicine taken to prevent getting HIV. PrEP is highly effective for preventing HIV when taken as prescribed.
