The Regional Municipality of Durham is continuing construction for the Durham-Scarborough Bus Rapid Transit (DSBRT) project on Kingston Road (Regional Highway 2) from Rotherglen Road to Galea Drive in the Town of Ajax.
Beginning on August 24, 2026, temporary lane reductions will be implemented along the Kingston Road corridor to facilitate construction of the DSBRT station foundations.
Upcoming lane restrictions from August 24 to September 8 on Simcoe Street North, from 125 metres north of Northern Dancer Drive to Northern Dancer Drive, in the City of Oshawa to safely construct an entrance in support of new development.

Durham Region Health Department’s Oral Health Clinic at 200 John Street West, Oshawa, will be closed on Friday, August 21, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. due to a general staff meeting. The clinic will reopen on Monday, August 24 at 8:30 a.m.

Durham Region Health Department has received notification that batches of adult mosquitoes collected in Pickering and Whitby have tested positive for West Nile virus (WNV). As part of the work, significant lane reconfigurations will occur at Salem Road and Harwood Avenue intersections, including traffic signal timing adjustments to accommodate the centre median and transit station construction.
